1. We are a Christian church which we understand from Jesus’ ministry to be inherently inclusive of all people seeking God.
   

2. We believe that being loving is more important than being right.
   

3. We strive to accept and respect people as they are, without judgment or criticism.
   

4. We celebrate unity in diversity. Diversity is expressed in our various spiritual experiences and theological understandings.
   

5. We find more grace in searching than in certainty—in questions than in answers.
   

6. We strive to live our daily lives with love, hope, and faith.
   

7. We believe that life involves spiritual growth. We strive to grow in Christ.
   

8. We seek to empower people along their individual spiritual journeys, understanding that God gives spiritual gifts to each person.
   

9. We strive to discover the resources needed for our work in the world: seeking justice and peace among all people; bringing hope to those in need.
   

10. We believe the Bible was written to help us understand God; gives guiding principles for life; and should be used to unite, not divide over interpretation.
